November 10 – December 30, 2023

North Fourth Art Center is celebrating the last two months of 2023, with two concurrent exhibitions highlighting works in multiple media by multiple artists from Albuquerque and beyond. The galleries feature A Brush with Time: Art’s Ever-Changing Story, and the story continues throughout the center with Deck the Walls, which amasses artwork by more than 100 artists for display and sale in the halls throughout the center, including painting, photography, printmaking, collage, assemblage and mobile hanging art.

A Brush with Time: Art’s Ever-Changing Story features five artists with very diverse work, ranging from metal sculpture and 3D fabrications by Joe Forrest Sackett, to photographs by Sterling Van Deren Coke, to pastels by Vasili Katakis, to photographic-painting-collages by Patrick Carr, to digital/AI generated imagery by Jonathan Loth and photo-prints mounted on cradleboard, with “no glass and no reflections” by Tim Anderson. Inspired by the past and possibilities of the future, these artists’ works create a story of change in art making along a continuum of creativity, brought about by time and technology.

Deck the Walls amasses artwork by over 100 artists for display and sale in the halls throughout the center, including painting, photography, printmaking, collage, assemblage and mobile hanging art. For the artists, as individuals or as participants in artists groups, the nexus for the show is the North Fourth Art Center, ergo the invitation to celebrate their work and the opportunity to give the gift of art.

Gallery hours: Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm and during N4th Theater performances. Closed November 23-24 and December 25-26 for the Holidays. For North Fourth Art Center info visit northfourthnm.org
